1872 - 2022
Our Regular Meeting at Guildford Masonic Centre on Tue 22nd November 2022 was attended by the Provincial Grand Master of Surrey, Right Worshipful Bro. Ian Chandler, PGM, and his escorting officers. Also attending was Assistant Provincial Grand Master of St Thomas’ Group, Worshipful Brother Paul Crockett, PSGD. We were also delighted to welcome many visiting brethren to this very special meeting and the Temple was more full than we have seen for a very long time.
We witnessed a superb Initiation Ceremony for our new Brother RJH Shotts, led by our Worshipful Master, W. Bro Mike Roberts, with amazing support from his Deacons, W. Bro Martin Fullard & Bro Janos Nemeth and Wardens, W. Bro Hugh Ward & W. Bro Giles Marlow.
A presentation was also made to W. Bro Hugh Ward, who after several years as our Secretary has stepped down to embark on exciting travels across Europe. We’ll miss seeing Hugh in the lodge for the next few months, but look forward to hearing of his adventures and welcoming him again on his return.
The brethren enjoyed a wonderful Festive Board, with contributions from the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master, W Bro Hugh Ward, who toasted our many visitors and W. Bro Paul Wilson who presented a brief history of Wey Side’s ‘first 150 Years’ - as featured on the Our History page of this site. £480 was raised for charitable donations, which was gratefully received and will be faithfully applied.

To celebrate our 150th Anniversary, our regular meeting in November 2022 was a very special one for all present - most of all, of course, for our Initiate!
